KVR News 9 is the University of Texas at Austin's student-produced national award-winning weekly live broadcast news show. You can watch KVR News 9 Monday nights at 9pm in the Austin area on Texas Student Television, the 24-hour student-run television station of Texas Student Publications. TSTV can be seen on Dorm channel 9, antenna channel 15, Time-Warner cable channel 16, and campus cable channel 51.
KVR News 9 reflects the lives of members of the campus community while covering student issues, sports, and the creation of new knowledge at UT. The broadcast is produced by a student staff (with the assistance of one faculty advisor) in the CMC building on UT's main campus in Austin. What makes KVR News 9 unique is that students have managerial and editorial control and that 100% of our video is produced by student reporters that are responsible for filming, writing, and editing their own stories.
